Just over a year ago, Ellipse Property Group received approval for one of the largest and greenest master-planned developments in Castle Hill. Since then, the first stage, Atrium, has been launched, with half of its 147 apartments already sold. Groundworks have commenced on the expansive 3.2-hectare site in the rapidly growing Showground Precinct.
Atrium, serving as the gateway to this nature-focused masterplan, offers a unique lifestyle with over 30% of the site dedicated to green open spaces. Buyers have responded enthusiastically to the project’s design and amenities. “Owner-occupiers have jumped at the chance to be part of what is likely to be the greenest community in Castle Hill,” says Nigel Farquhar, Head of Development at Ellipse Property Group.
The architecture by Stanisic Architects and Tony Owen Partners, combined with Site Image's landscape design, has been a significant draw for buyers. “Our design team, led by Associate Director Puja Khanna, recently refined some upper-level and penthouse designs, which were met with strong market interest,” Farquhar adds.
Carrington Place features expansive internal spaces that open onto generous balconies or garden courtyards, ideal for downsizers or right-sizing owner-occupiers. The masterplan includes over 20,000 sqm of recreational space and a one-kilometer boardwalk along Cattai Creek, connecting the precinct to Fred Caterson Reserve.
Looking ahead, future stages will offer more diverse apartment configurations to attract first home buyers and investors. The new Hills Showground Metro, which will transport residents to Barangaroo in just 33 minutes, is expected to further enhance the area’s appeal and rental yields.
Ellipse Property Group is set to release the second stage of the masterplan early next year, with Decode already on-site, targeting completion of Atrium by late 2025. The entire masterplan is anticipated to be finalized by 2032.
